Boat and Ferry Travel

The big city of Patras (the tourist office is near the harbor) is the port for boats to and from Corfu and the other Ionian islands, as well as boats to and from Italy. Minoan, ANEK, Blue Star, and Minoan all run boats between Patras and the Ionians, and Superfast and Minoan have the most extensive services between Patras and Ancona, Bari, and Venice in Italy. Lane Sea Lines runs once-weekly service in summer between Gythion, in the Southern Peloponnese, and Kythera and Kissamos (Kastelli), Crete; once-weekly service between Kalamata and Rethymnon, Crete; and once-weekly service between Piraeus and Monemvassia, with arrival in Monemvassia on Friday evening and returning to Piraeus on Sunday evening. The Nafplion Port Authority and Patras Port Authority can advise you about entry and exit in their ports for yachts.
