Olympia has many shops specializing in big-ticket gold jewelry—some nice, others gaudy. Nafplion has an excellent selection of stores selling high-quality gold jewelry, especially around Constitution Square and on Staikopoulou. Patras is the best bet for fashion, especially downtown around Korinthou and Maizonas streets. Kalamata is most famous for its fleshy black olives and olive oil, but is also known for pasteli (sesame-seed-and-honey candy) and figs. More »
