Bearded Dimitris and Koula Kapris's beachfront taverna is popular both with sun worshippers on Ayia Anna beach and locals from Chora, who come here winter and summer to get away and sometimes to dance until the late hours, often to live music. The menu is extensive and fresh daily -- the fresh fish comes from the caïques that pull up at the dock right in front every morning. Two good appetizers are kakavia (fish stew) and shrimp saganaki (with cooked cheese), while spaghetti with crab is a fine entrée. The barrel wine is their own (they also bottle it). The small hotel next door is also theirs.
