Cavo Tagoo Review
Many consider this to be the top hotel in Mykonos for luxuriousness, service, and comfort. Completely redesigned in 2009, it climbs the hill over the bay in sensuous white curves, with natural projecting rock on the winding path to the guest rooms. The two public pools (one a 38-foot-long infinity) and many private pools make it feel island-aqueous and give it all a lovely "barefoot chic" feeling. More water is on tap in the pool bar where a 43-foot-long aquarium comes stocked with sharks (PETA-lovers, beware). The all-white guest rooms—the furniture splashes some blue, pink, and gold—have palm-leaf futons, plasma TVs, Jacuzzis bathtubs, and terraces facing sea and sunset. Longtime manager Tasos Didimiotis keeps it all gracious.

Jetsetting Seaside Style
The famous, the wealthy, and the fun-seeking have long found their way to the glitzy island of Mykonos for revelry, but the island also offers hidden respites. It's not that Cavo Tagoo, a handsome stone enclave climbing a rocky hillside above the sea, shies away from worldly pleasures: stunning guest quarters are stylishly done in soothing tones of white and gray and enhanced with indoor-outdoor living areas, sunken Jacuzzis, and sea-facing terraces with private pools. And it's hard to ignore the European runway models and sunglass-bedecked celebrities basking beside the infinity pool and sipping drinks at the outdoor bar. But relaxation is the order of the day at this barefoot-chic getaway—guests come to linger over the lavish poolside breakfast, indulge in the super-luxurious spa, or just gaze out to sea.
