Located on a hillside in the little farming village of Sivas, about 5 km (3 miles) from the beach, these "studios" (think simple apartments) have basic kitchens, and are some the of the most comfortable and tastefully decorated around. All have separate bedrooms and nice lounge areas furnished traditionally with built-in divans, as well as such touches as stone archways and terraces that overlook the surrounding olive groves; some have fireplaces, and the untis are air-conditioned
and have Wi-Fi. Kitchens are fairly basic, but Taverna Sigelakis serves delicious Cretan fare at dinnertime.
