Both local and international dishes are on the menu of this long-established and casually elegant restaurant in the Liston arcade. Start with a plate of steamed mussels, then move on to hearty Corfiot classics such as spicy bourdetto (fish stewed in tomato sauce with lots of hot red pepper), or the more-unusual arnaki kleftiko (lamb cooked as the kleftes, War of Independence fighters, liked it), with onions, olives, mustard, and feta cheese. Tables in front overlook the nonstop parade on the Esplanade. Aegli keeps late hours, serving drinks and sweets midnight until 2 am.
