Both local and international dishes are on the menu of this long-established and casually elegant restaurant in the Liston arcade. Start with a plate of steamed mussels, then move on to hearty Corfiot classics such as spicy bourdetto (fish stewed in tomato sauce with lots of hot red pepper), or the more-unusual arnaki kleftiko (lamb cooked as the kleftes, War of Independence fighters, liked it), with onions, olives, mustard, and feta cheese. The establishment
offers its own house-baked sourdough bread. Tables in front overlook the nonstop parade on the Esplanade. Aegli keeps late hours, serving drinks and sweets midnight until 2 am.
