Corfu: Places to Explore

Pelekas

Inland from the coast at Glyfada is Pelekas, an attractive hilltop village that overflows with tourists because of its much-touted lookout point, called Kaiser's Throne, a rocky hilltop with spectacular views of the entire island and sea beyond. German kaiser Wilhelm II enjoyed the sunset here when not relaxing at Achilleion Palace.

Ermones. On the coast north of Pelekas lies the resort town of Ermones, with pebbly sand beaches, heavily wooded cliffs, and a backdrop of green mountains. The Ropa river flows into the Ionian sea here. 8 km [5 mi] north of Pelekas, Pelekas, Corfu, 49100.
