Fodor's Review

This sprawling, upmarket complex really stands out in Glyfada, drawing a hip young crowd as well as families with children, who enjoy different sides of the beach. Built around a fine sand beach and landscaped grounds shaded by elegant pergolas, Asteras offers lounge chairs, umbrellas, pools, lockers, changing rooms, showers, trampolines, a playground, a self-service restaurant, three bars, and water sports. All for an entry fee of €5. You can keep going all day and

night at the youthful Balux poolside café-club, where you can cool off on abundant pillows with a chilled coffee in hand or sip a cocktail long after sundown. Amenities: food and drink; parking; showers; toilets; water sports. Best for: partiers; swimming; walking; windsurfing.
