Captain Mihail Economou's heirs have converted his 1851 stone mansion into a beautiful seaside spot, perfect for romantic getaways, with the atmosphere heightened by the pebbled gardens, home to a small, pretty swimming pool and a handful of live tortoises. The main building's airy guest rooms feature iron beds and a sprinkling of antiques: the old ship safe, for instance, houses board games. The building's additions are less glamorous but feature pluses—in one case, a generous balcony with a cannon facing the sea.
