Just off the narrow road leading into Legrena village and a few miles before Sounio, this reasonably priced fish restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. More than two-thirds of the diners here are returning customers, which says a lot about this taverna run by a Greek-British husband-and-wife team. The menu is built around huge portions of fresh fish and seafood, like the steamed mussels with feta in wine cheese sauce or the seafood pasta, with marvelous additions like boiled or fresh mixed salads in season. At the end of the dinner, the plate of seasonal fruit or the homemade chocolate kormos (log-shaped) cake is on the house. Beware of busy summer weekends, when reservations are strongly advised.
