Fodor's Greek Islands
Brasserie Valaoritou Review
This cosmopolitan-yet-homey brasserie draws a varied crowd, from high-flying businessmen to politicians to theater buffs, who come here to enjoy to enjoy a delicious cappuccino or, at lunchtime, a generous and delicious salad, or a late dinner after an evening at the theatre. There is also a range of pasta dishes and traditional Greek fare like lemon-oregano chicken, lamb, and seafood. Also recommended are the rye-bread baguettes with smoked salmon. But save room for the fabulous desserts, especially the lemon pie and the amazing galaktoboureko (custard in phyllo) made with Camembert cheese instead of the traditional custard.
