The Butcher Shop

The Butcher Shop Review

A carnivore's paradise, this simple tavern does its meats superbly. Try the steaks, sausages, and the juicy, gigantic hamburgers. Don't miss the crispy home fries and specialty cheeses and cold cuts from around Greece. For sides, go for a plate of fresh, vinegary beets or the seasonal salads. The menu also offers an eclectic selection of local wines. The lemon pie and the rice pudding feature prominently on the dessert menu, while the complimentary mastiha, or mastic-flavor liqueur, from Chios served at the end leaves you with a sweet taste. The owners of this clean eatery with tables out on the pavements when the weather allows are the same people behind another success story, the Sardelles fish eaterie right next door.
