Escape Athens's commotion among the two-tone neoclassical mansions and tree-lined boulevards of the posh Kefalari area in Kifissia. At this hotel with luxurious and imaginative theme suites, you can stay in the chateau-inspired Malmaison, with Louis XIV-like chairs and half canopy; the exotic Aqaba, with Moorish keyhole doorways and ironwork; or the more standard Boat House, with nautical-theme art and striped canvas curtains. The neighborhood is known for fine restaurants, but the suites do have kitchenettes. Other amenities include queen-size beds, verandas or balconies, and a sundeck with whirlpool tub. The breakfast includes cheese, cold cuts, cereal, yogurt, and cake.
