Fodor's Review

While the impressive Hilton is one of the city's venerable architectural landmarks, it's also been kept up to date with modern, clean-lined, and minimalist design. The once-traditional lobby is a vast expanse of white marble punctuated by sleek, mod benches. Guest rooms are fitted out in light wood, brushed metal, etched glass, and crisp white duvets. Facilities are business-oriented, with a stylish executive check-in lounge and huge conference rooms. Along with a gym

and a spa, the hotel has the biggest hotel pool in Athens (open from May to October only). It also boasts a branch of Milos Restaurant, Manhattan's luxe Greek eatery and the Galaxy rooftop bar, which despite its high prices remains a favorite with hip Athenians.

Good thing it's closing for renovation!

In the next few months this hotel will be closing for about a year for a major Olympic renovation. It's a very tired grand old place. Good location, great pool and good service. I'll definitely stay here again once it's been re-built.

Grand Foyer but Tired Rooms

This isn't quite as bad a a very dodgy Hilton I stayed in when visiting Sao Paulo but it's up there. The rooms are big but so very tired and shabby. It was very difficult to get a non-smoking room. Not worth the Hilton prices that are charged.

Threadbare rooms in a great location

The Hilton occupies a prime location in central Athens. Individual rooms, however, do not appear to have been renovated (or even refurbished) in at least a decade. This is not one of Hilton's nicer hotels.
