A handsome house on a residential street, this pension is comfortably old-fashioned, with family paintings on the muted white walls, comfortable beds, hardwood floors, and ceiling fans. Many rooms have balconies with views of Filopappou or the Acropolis. A congenial crowd of visiting students and single travelers fills the place. In winter, lower rates are available to long-term guests, some of whom stay on for a few months. Rates with and without breakfast are available. Though the residential neighborhood, a 10-minute walk south of the Acropolis, lacks the charm of Plaka, it has many fewer tourists and the metro offers easy access to many of the city's sights.
