In summer, this café-restaurant's leafy garden is one of the best places to cool off after a morning poking around the National Art Gallery or the museums along Vasilissis Sofias. Relax on the shady wooden deck and choose from an impressive list of selections, including several pasta dishes and meat entrées such as pork fillets with a bread-crumb coating. But where the chef really goes to town is the dinner-size salads: try wholesome rye rusks on a bed of lettuce and topped with chopped fresh tomato, olives, and an overly generous dollop of ksinomizithra (a soft, white goat cheese). End on a sweet note with creamy panna cotta or velvet-smooth chocolate souffle; if you can't make up your mind, share like Greek diners do. A word of caution: the waitstaff can be deft or disinterested, depending on the time of day, so go with the flow.

The food and atmosphere are good but the service is somewhat nonchalant. But if you are looking for a cheaper option than the Hilton, the place is located by the hotel parking garage and within easy walking distance.
