Cellier Le Bistrot

Cellier Le Bistrot Review

On the same spot occupied by Apotsos, a historical ouzeri that was a fixture on the Athenian social scene for decades, Cellier Le Bistrot has introduced an upmarket eatery fashioned around wine. The bistro has one of the largest selections of by-the-glass wines (some 250 wines from all over the world) in the city, which you can sample with a light dish from the ever-changing menu: maybe fresh pasta, salad, or seafood. You can still bring your own wine though (at a charge of 5 euros per bottle). The decor is both timeless and contemporary, with earthy hues, leather banquettes, and mahogany surfaces. The service is as impeccable as the wine list, which is culled from the finest vintages from nearby Cellier, one of the city's top wineshops. The action begins here at 10 in the morning for coffee.
