Just around the corner from its sister hotel, the Herodion, the Philippos shares its good qualities: a quiet location convenient to the Acropolis and friendly, efficient service. Modular dark-veneer beds (in smallish rooms) with beige covers are offset by pale green carpets and draperies. You can sip a coffee in the light-filled atrium with comfortable couches and patio tables. Some rooms even have an Acropolis view. Rooms for smokers are available. Prices are kept down by details like the complimentary Continental (rather than full) buffet breakfast, but the overall experience is nicely positive.
