Hotel im Kupferkessel Review

The best things about this small, unassuming, family-run hotel are its immaculate housekeeping—the very model of German fastidiousness—and the price (small single rooms with shared bath can be had for as low as €38). Fresh flowers smarten up the rustic breakfast area, while the no-frills rooms are sunny, nicely renovated and very functional. The direct surroundings aren't action-packed, but the hotel is in the shadow of St. Gereon church and a 15-minute walk to the Dom. Be prepared to deal with stairs here, as most rooms are on the third and fourth floors.
