St.-Nikolaus-Hospital
St.-Nikolaus-Hospital Review
The philosopher and theologian Nikolaus Cusanus (1401-64) was born in Kues. The St.-Nikolaus-Hospital is a charitable Stiftung (foundation) he established in 1458, and it still operates a home for the elderly and a wine estate.
Mosel-Weinmuseum. Within it is the wine museum as well as a bistro and a wineshop. www.moselweinmuseum.de. €5. Mid-Apr.-Oct., daily 10-6; Nov.-mid-Apr., daily 2-5.
Vinothek. You can sample more than 100 wines from the entire Mosel-Saar-Ruwer region in the Vinothek in the vaulted cellar. www.moselweinmuseum.de. €15 for admission and wine tasting. Mid-Apr.-Oct., daily 10-5; Nov.-mid-Apr., daily 2-5.
