Welcome Hotel am Schlossberg Review
While the plain facade of this large, modern hotel may suffer in comparison with much of Marburg's traditional architecture, its generous rooms, comfy beds and excellent breakfast buffet are certain to draw guests back. At river level just below the Old Town, its Tartaruga restaurant ($$) offers seasonal menus specializing in German fare, and has a terrace for fair-weather dining. Should the weather be less clement, you can retire to the hotel's beer cellar for an after-dinner nightcap, or sweat off some of the calories in the sauna.
