Traditional Black Forest style reigns supreme here, from the steep-eaved wood exterior, with window boxes everywhere, to the elegant sitting areas and guest rooms furnished with rustic, brightly painted pieces, many of them decoratively carved. Afternoon tea, like breakfast, is included in the price. Pros: quiet location, friendly staff. Con: payment by credit card incurs a 4% surcharge.
