Fodor's Review:

This luxury hotel-cum-beauty-and-spa resort commands a hilltop above Baiersbronn. It has no fewer than nine pools, some heated, some with seawater, jet streams, or effervescent water. The fitness program includes saunas, controlled ultraviolet radiation, massages, beauty treatments, hairdressers, and just about anything else well-heeled guests desire. Some rooms have tapestry-papered walls. Suites start at EUR 470; one has its own sauna, solarium, and whirlpool bath. The restaurants include the elegant Bareiss with French cuisine ($$$$), the Kaminstube with European cuisine ($$$-$$$$) and dining near the fireplace, and the Dorfstube ($-$$) with regional specialties. Pros: beautiful location, great facilities. Cons: far from sights, expensive, credit cards only accepted in the restaurants, not in the hotel.
