Fodor's Review:

The Merkur's large, comfortable rooms typify the high standards of German lodgings. A solid breakfast is served in the pleasant breakfast room. In the middle of Baden-Baden, the hotel's setting is quiet. If you stay for at least three days, ask for the special package that includes admission to the casino and the thermal baths, a sumptuous meal, a glass of champagne, and a welcome cocktail at the bar. Pros: good deals for stays of three days or more, central location, quiet street. Con: down side street so views not great.
