Dresden is almost as famous as Meissen for its porcelain. It's manufactured outside the city in Freital, where there's a showroom and shop, Sächsische Prozellan-Manufaktur Dresden (Carl-Thieme-Str. 16, Freital. 0351/647-130), open Monday through Saturday 9-5.
