Hospitals in Munich have all the state-of-the-art equipment anyone may need for emergencies or health issues. There are two large clinics in the city itself and a couple in the suburbs. Police are ubiquitous in this very safe city.

Internationale Ludwigs-Apotheke and Europa-Apotheke, both open weekdays 8-6 and Saturday 8-1, stock over-the-counter medications. Munich pharmacies stay open late on a rotating basis, and every pharmacy has a schedule in its window.
