This 19th-century establishment is the flagship beer restaurant of one of Munich's oldest breweries. It is also the location of the absolutely unbeatable Augustiner beer garden, which you have to experience once in your life. The menu changes daily and offers Bavarian specialties, but try to order their "top seller" —¼ duck with a good slab of roast suckling pig, dumpling, and blue cabbage. Follow that with a Dampfnudel (yeast dumpling served with custard), and you probably won't feel hungry again for quite a while.
