Fodor's Review:

In 1597 Duke Wilhelm V decided to look for a peaceful retreat outside Munich, and found what he wanted at this palace. Prince Max Emanuel later added two more palaces. One, the Lustheim, houses Germany's largest collection of Meissen porcelain. Take the S-bahn 1 line to Oberschleissheim station and then walk about 20 minutes or take Bus 292 (no weekend service).

  • Cost: Combined ticket for 3 palaces EUR 6
  • Open: Apr.-Sept., Tues.-Sun. 9-6; Oct. -Mar., Tues.-Sun. 10-4
