Fodor's Review:

This palace was the original medieval residence of the Wittelsbachs, the ruling dynasty established in 1180. The palace now serves as local government offices. Don't pass through without turning to admire the oriel (bay window) that hides on the south wall, just around the corner as you enter the courtyard. The west wing is home to the Vinorant Alter Hof, a fine restaurant and wine cellar with decent prices.
