At this Munich mainstay for both locals and visitors, the vaulted, frescoed ceiling and the old stone floor recall the Andechs monastery. The boldly Bavarian food—blood sausage with potatoes, or roast duck—and fine selection of delectable Andechs beers will quickly put you at ease. The covered terrace with a view of the Frauenkirche is a favorite meeting place, rain or shine, for shoppers, local businesspeople, and even the occasional VIP.

always great food in the IDEAL location. Eating inside in the basement is as enjoyable as the terrace facing the back of the Frauenkirche. Service is always great as well; once a server brought my brother and me two complementary after dinner drinks that perfectly finished the meal. As the prior reviewer noted, the schnitzel is to die for. It also goes without saying that the Andechs bier is top notch!
