Biederstein
Keferstr. 18, Munich, Bavaria, 80802, Germany, Munich, GermanyWhy We Like It
Quiet and family-friendly, near the lovely English Garden and lots of local eating and drinking options, Biederstein is a low-key option for those who want to be close to the action, but not in it.
Fodor's Expert Review
A modern block of a building, but covered with geraniums in summer, the Biederstein seems to want to fit into its old Schwabing surroundings at the edge of the English Garden. The advantages here are the peace and quiet, excellent service, and comfortable if basic, rooms. The breakfast buffet is very good, too, and there's a lovely garden for guests in the summer.

Room
Rooms are of a reasonable size, although they are quite plain. Family rooms are affordable compared to some other locations. All have balconies.
Bathroom
Bathrooms have walk-in showers with a glass partition wall, and shampoo/shower gel and soap are provided in dispensers.
You Should Know They might be more eco-friendly, so we are going to have to get used to them, but these dispensers always feel a little cheap to us.
Lobby
The hotel lobby is small and functional, but the welcome is friendly.
Dining
The breakfast buffet is varied and tasty, and always included in the room rate.
Tip In summer, you can enjoy breakfast in the hotel's garden.

Getting Around
Schwabing is a pleasant district, and the location by the English Garden is peaceful. But this does mean that the Old Town is not really walking distance - however, it is a quick 15-minute train ride.
Restaurants
Grab some fantastic Afghan food at Chopan Schwabing (6-minute walk). Or go traditional German at the local Osterwaldgarten (1-minute walk), right by the hotel.
