Seven Oceans Review

Seven Oceans is an excellent new dining experience tucked into a downtown shopping mall. Do not hold its location against it. Seven Oceans encompasses a cigar lounge, a sushi bar, a traditional bar, and a gourmet restaurant at the top of Europe Passage. One wall is lined in windows, so guests can watch passerbys on Binnenalster and Jungfernstieg. Service is formal in the gourmet restaurant but the food is an inspired twist on comfort food. A salmon appetizer arrives on a slate slab. The fish starter is a collage that includes fish wrapped in wontons, tartare with hints of dill, and a tartare accompanied by a square of mashed potato. Generous pieces of suckling pig have crackling skin and pearl onion and garlic tucked into them. A powerful kakao sauce provides excellent support for the meat. The restaurant has the excellent wine list that you would expect from this culinary powerhouse. Seven Oceans fits the needs of every size wallet and appetite. You can choose from a gourmet dinner at the restaurant, sandwiches and appetizers at the Oceans Bar, and sake sashimi at the Sushi Bar.
