Deichgraf

$$-$$$, German, Altstadt

Fodor's Review:

This small and elegant fish restaurant in the heart of the old harbor warehouse district is a Hamburg classic. It's one of the best places to get traditional dishes such as Hamburger Pannfisch (fried pieces of the day's catch prepared in a wine and mustard sauce) at a very reasonable price. The restaurant is in an old merchant house, and historic oil paintings in the dining room depict the hardships of the fisherman of the late 19th century. Reservations are essential on weekends.
