The glorious days of Windjammer, Hamburg's commercial fleet, come alive in this small harbor museum on the Elbe River. Eighteen antique steam and sailing vessels from the late 19th century can be inspected from the pier, or boarded on weekends if a crew is around. Behind the harbor, along the quay, are charming little cottages with tidy gardens.
