Fodor's Review:
Proudly dubbing itself Hamburg's first design hotel, the Gastwerk, in a century-old, redbrick gas plant, certainly is the most stylish accommodation in town. The simple but incredibly chic furnishings reflect the building's industrial design but are warmed by the use of natural materials, various woods, and thick carpets. The loft rooms with large windows, bare walls, and a lot of space are probably the most exciting hotel rooms in Hamburg.
