Steinernes Haus Review

Diners share long wooden tables beneath traditional clothing mounted on the walls. The house specialty is an uncooked steak brought to the table with a heated rock tablet on which it is prepared. The beef broth is the perfect antidote to cold weather. The menu has other old German standards along with daily specials. If you don't specify a Kleines, or small glass of beer, you'll automatically get a liter mug.

    Not worth the money

Of all the wonderful German style restaurants in Frankfurt, this is the last place I would recommend. Sad, dusty decor, bad lighting, and just a plain depressing atmosphere with not even great food to make it worth your while to show up. I would go anyplace else but this restaurant. Hopefully the owner will make some improvements as this is a very historic house, built in 1464. It would be nice to have a great restaurant in here.
