Fodor's Review

This pleasant hotel in the middle of the lively Sachsenhausen quarter has rooms that are modest but comfortable; the nightly rate includes a substantial breakfast buffet. The restaurant, Doepfner's im Maingau, is pricey, but is also one of Frankfurt's best.

Maingau Review

My wife and I stayed 1 night here in September 2009. We found it to be a great value for a big city. Room was large, comfortable, clean and quiet. Good location to many restaurants.

Great Neighborhood but No AC

Good residential neigbhorhood with reasonably priced, locally patronized restaurants. Have stayed here twice. Hotel is good value, with cordial service and a generous breakfast buffet. BUT it is currently under renovation with resulting mess and daytime noise. There is no room air conditioning, which was a problem during a recent visit. Would return except in summer.

The breakfast buffet is worth the price of admission

The room was small but fine and clean. The breakfast buffet was fantastic--Broetchen, croissants, Stollen, pumpernickel bread, many kinds of cheese, salami, ham, jam . . . I could go on and on. The fruit bowl was splendid and included mango and pineapple. And of course the coffee was strong and delicious. Oh, and there were four kinds of juice every morning. too. And cereal and milk and yogurt.
