Fodor's Review

More than 30,000 decorative objects are exhibited in this modern white building set back in grassy grounds along "museum row" in Saschenhausen. Chairs and furnishings and medieval craftwork are some of the thematic sections you'll find on the same floor. The exhibits are mainly from Europe and Asia.

Stunning furniture collection

This museum is within walking distance of downtown. It consists of three interconnected buildings including an 18th century villa. The baroque and renaissance pieces of furniture were stunning. Just trying to imagine the size of the room that would have held them was mind boggling. There was a visiting exhibit of illustrated covers from the German weekly magazine, Der Spegel. They were not only interesting art but also for the snapshots they

provided into the concerns over the several decade span that they covered. The buildings are quite light and modern looking. The villa seems pretty empty at this point.
