Rotel Inn Review

The first permanent Rotel Inn is on the bank of the Danube in central Passau and resembles an ocean liner "Rotels" are usually hotels on wheels, an idea developed by a local entrepreneur to accommodate tour groups in North Africa and Asia. Its rooms are truly shipshape—hardly any wider than the bed inside—but they're clean, decorated in a pop-art style, and amazingly cheap. The building's unique design—a red, white, and blue facade with flowing roof lines—has actually been patented. It's definitely for young travelers, but also fun for families.
