Fodor's Review:
This luxury hotel-cum-beauty-and-spa resort commands a hilltop above Baiersbronn. It has no fewer than nine pools, some heated, some with seawater, jet streams, or effervescent water. The fitness program includes saunas, controlled ultraviolet radiation, massages, beauty treatments, hairdressers, and just about anything else well-heeled guests desire. Some rooms have tapestry-papered walls. Suites start at EUR 470; one has its own sauna, solarium, and whirlpool bath. The restaurants include the elegant Bareiss ($$$$) and the Kaminstube ($$-$$$$), which offers dining near the fireplace. Credit cards are accepted in the restaurants but not in the hotel.
