Fodor's Review:
The Montigels have owned this sturdy old hotel and restaurant, just two minutes from the marketplace, since 1878. And they strive to maintain tradition and personal service with clean, comfortable, modern hotel rooms and, especially, with the dining ($-$$$) they offer. Local specialties include Maultaschen, an idea the Swabians are said to have stolen from the Italians. The dish resembles ravioli, with a dough jacket, but contains a Swabian filling of roast meat, spinach, and onions. In the beamed restaurant the wine is served in a viertele glass with a handle and a grape pattern; game comes from the family's own preserve, and they have their own schnapps distillery.
