A bar for those who like to enjoy a drink in relative calmness (and a big armchair), Becketts Kopf resembles a gentleman's club—though it's coed, of course. The only indication anything exists behind its curtained facade is a glowing photograph of the head of Samuel Beckett in the window (the bar's name simply means “Beckett’s head”). Their old-world drinks seem designed to be enjoyed slowly (and with higher prices than you’ll find in most Berlin bars, you're
unlikely to order in bulk). If names like Lusitanian, Aviation, and El Presidente don’t stoke your thirst, try a classic martini—one of the best in town.
