Fodor's Review

A new meeting point for the hip Mitte set, Pauly Saal is in the newly renovated and converted Ehemalige Jüdische Mädchenschule (Old Jewish Girls' School), a worthy destination in its own right due to its beautifully restored interior and several noteworthy galleries. With indoor seating in what used to be the school gym, and outdoor tables taking over the building's expansive courtyard, the setting alone is a draw, but the food is also some of the most exquisite in this

part of Mitte. The focus is on artful presentation and local ingredients, like meat sourced directly from Brandenburg. the lunch prix-fixe (€28) is a great way to sample the restaurant's best dishes.
