The Asian-fusion restaurant Nu is a successful and very friendly restaurant cum bar and lounge, one of the few places like this in Berlin without an attitude. Set in the chic but touristy neighborhood of Savignyplatz, the Nu mostly sees well-to-do locals and, particularly at noon, is a modern version of a classic power lunch place. The delicious, spicy food draws on recipes from Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia, with some Japanese sushi and sashimi platters thrown in. The exotic cocktails are equally top-class, and are just EUR 4.50. DJs play soft house and electro pop music on weekend nights.
