Carré Cointreau Review

To learn about the heartwarming liqueur made in Angers since 1849, head to the Carré Cointreau on the east side of the city. It has a museum and offers a guided visit of the distillery, which starts with an introductory film, moves past "cointreauversial" advertising posters, through the bottling plant and alembic room, with its gleaming copper-pot stills, and ends with a tasting. English tours are staged at 3 pm. City bus No. 7 from the Angers train station stops just outside.
