Fodor's Review:

A hanging shop sign adorned with a painted unicorn beckons you to this pretty-as-a-picture town-house restaurant just off Fontevraud's idyllic Allée Sainte-Catherine. Past a flowery garden and table-adorned terrace, tiny salons glow with happy folks feasting on some of the best food in the region: Chef Bretel's Loire salmon, guinea fowl in Layon wine, langoustine ravioli with wild mushrooms, colvert (duck), and lobster with fava beans make most diners purr with contentment. They clearly deserve their Michelin 1 star. The type of traditional French food that you cant easily find in Paris. Very heavy of course. You wont find steak here, mainly game (hare, duck etc.) or things like veal sweetbreads. I had the dos de colvert (duck) and it was fantastic. Service is impecable, but as with all high end French restaurants, it can be overly clinical. Cant speak much about ambience as the place was almost empty at lunch time.
