Fodor's Expert Review Clarion Hotel Château Belmont

A pleasant mix of the antique and the modern, this attractive lodging offers all the pleasures of a four-star hotel with the modern conveniences of a high-end chain. Many of the rooms overlook the wooded 6-acre park (a former vineyard), and the larger suites in the historic section all have park-view terraces. Rooms in the modern section have less character but are clean, functional, and comfortable. The restaurant provides quality dining and a delightful patio in warm weather; the glassed-in lounge is a good spot for a drink. The fully equipped spa and pool are a big plus, as are the wine tastings offered every third Friday of the month for a small additional fee.
