Young Spanish chef Gabriela Stockler Martinez once worked for celebrated chef Alain Llorca as well as at starred eateries in England and Spain—and now, since July 2013, she has her own digs. Her open kitchen overlooks the central room at Carré Llorca. Designed by Paul Valet, the exposed stone walls and simple wooden tables are both bright and inviting, and from the main floor there's an angled view of the Neoclassical Palais de Justice. Diners are tickled about the
sublimely Mediterranean cuisine—pan bagnat revisited (€7) or marinated salmon and seasonal veggies (€13)—as much as the reasonable prices.
