This luxurious landmark retains a Gatsby feel; there are striped awnings, white balustrades, gleaming brass, and ornate Deco ironwork trimming the lobby. Pine trees tower over the grounds and the white-marble pool, and rooms have a cool plain-pastel theme. Though it's two long blocks from the waterfront, the Juana has its own private sand beach there, with changing cabins, bar, and a restaurant that holds live jazz concerts during the Jazz à Juan festival (and has a children's menu). The restaurant La Terrasse has been replaced by Les Pêcheurs, with a luxury yacht theme and exquisite Mediterranean food by chef Francis Chauveau: zucchini flowers stuffed with pistou (the local pesto), vegetables, and lobster; Limousin veal with summer truffles and wild mushrooms; and apricots sautéed with rosemary honey are all worth defrauding your heirs for.
