Cathédrale St-Sacerdos Review

The elaborate turreted tower of the Cathédrale St-Sacerdos, begun in the 12th century, is the oldest part of the building and, along with the choir, all that remains of the original Romanesque structure.

The white stone interior is lovely along with beautiful stained glass windows and several altars.

We were lucky enough to be there during Herritage Weekend, Sept. 2012, when 10,000 votive candles lit the streets of Sarlat and the Cathedrale had organ concerts with the music filtering through the streets.
